Today is September 30. Really? Time has truly flown by and there’s so much to pack in the next 3 months. Trips, holidays, the arrival of a new little one, etc. But today, well today, we celebrated the beginning of autumn.
This was our second annual trip to Old McDonald’s Farm. These folks really know how to do it up right! Corn maze, hay maze, sheep shearing, petting zoo, mining for gems and of course, the hayride out to the grand pumpkin patch. What a great place to get you in the fall-kinda-mood!
I have so many pictures to share folks, so I decided to break up the post. Enjoy part 1!
Time for a little gem mining! Cupcake Girl loved it. And so did the two grown-ups!
A little ladybug friend decided to join us.
Now time for some sheep shearing. It was this little guys first time being sheared. He was baaaa-ing like crazy, but we were reassured he was not being hurt. Just a bit scared of the noise and the fact that it tickles their skin a little bit. After a couple times of shearing the sheep will be more calm.
Guess who’s next??
Sweet moms and babies in the petting zoo!
Let’s find our way through the mazes. Up first the hay maze.
Success!
Time for the wonderful corn maze. You really should take a look at the aerial view. I just don’t know how they do it. We only made it through about 1/4 of the maze.
A few more farm animals.
Stayed tuned tomorrow for part 2. Pumpkin patch, slides and maybe another round through the hay maze.
